How did you become interested in an electric moped? And why did the choice fall on just one Vässla ?
I wanted to make my commute more efficient both for my body and also in terms of time. I saw more and more electric mopeds on the roads and thought it would be a perfect alternative, because I still wanted my commute to remain environmentally friendly and driving in Stockholm's inner city is something you want to avoid. It is often slower. When I started looking at the different options that were available, I saw that Vässla was presented as the best option if you want to commute with an electric moped. I had also seen several on the road and liked that they still looked like mopeds, the other variants looked like bike/moped hybrids almost. Since the Vässlan has a long range on one charge, plus the possibility of driving with two batteries made the choice easier. I drive a lot so I wanted a moped that could cover many kilometers.
Has Vässlan replaced or supplemented any other means of transport that you previously used?
I used an electric bike before, and still sometimes if I have to go to the store quickly or something like that. However, I have discovered that the Vässlan is very flexible, so I am moving away from my bike more and more. I thought it was hard not to have a basket at first, like you have on a bicycle. But have now noticed that I can load just as much, if not more, at Vässla . It is safe to attach the handle to the existing hook. So now I usually do the weekly action with Vässlan, it works as well as it can. Especially if you have a backpack too.
Would you say that Vässlan helped you save time in your everyday life? If YES, approximately how much per week?
Really! On a Saturday morning I can go from me (Gärdet) to Eriksdalsbadet in 14 minutes. It's door to door. Previously, when I rode the subway, the journey time on the subway was only 14 minutes, exclusive of the time to and from and the waiting time. So it probably saves me 10-15 minutes every time I drive, which I do 9 times a week. So there will be a total of 3 hours per week if I counted correctly. When I cycled to the bath, it still took at least 20 minutes.
What would you say are the 3 main reasons why you chose a Vässla in particular?
1. Time
2. Flexibility/Freedom
3. Environment
